im stressing over money for flowers. what is everyone doing? What places offer packages? I love flowers and want the RH to look great with them but I rathernot spend an arm and a leg. Did anyone do them themselves? I did them for my parents 30th anniv. 4 yrs ago at windows and they were beautiful. Is that tacky to do for your wedding. help give me some peac of mind

Re: floral budget questions
Takcy? lol, girl who will know? the better question is if you have the time/talent. I thought about this briefly, but don't really have much talent to do my own flowers.
Try my florist, Designs by Rose, she is really good and her prices are excellent.
When you meet with the florists give them an idea of what you want and tell them your budget. They can modify the pieces accordingly.

of course you can do your own centerpieces but is the time and stress worth it?

Re: floral budget questions
Not tacky at all! But stressful, probably very!
Depending on where you are, I know a lot of girls here use Burt0ns, and Designs By Rose. I just met with perfect rose in E.Islip on Monday and she has terrific prices.

Re: floral budget questions
I'm doing them myself, I'm a florist though so I've had some practice
I actually am going to hire someone to set up the hall, though. Only b/c I physically can't get there that day (going to be kind of busy getting married, lol) but I'm still making the CPs myself
It is a little crazy to do them yourself, though, I will admit.

THIS. We were so stressed about our floral budget and we came back extremely pleasantly surprised!

Re: floral budget questions
At first my sister brazenly volunteered to do my flowers. When it became clear that it would be a huge task (esp considering she lives in the city), I went to Burt0ns. They're great!

Can I ask what florist you are using? What kind of centerpieces are you having?
