Floral Help!!!!!! sorry so long..updated with pict of cp i want

okay so ive been to like 5 florists, i need help picking or should i keep looking. i only rated 4 of them i am definetly not using the first person i saw so im not even going to mention it.

i feel like knowone wants to be creative or through some of there own ideas in.

i will tell you about my experiences with each

NWF- anna is very nice she gave me the best price out of anyone however she cannot do the centerpiece i really want so i would have to go with my second choice of centerpiece.
(right in my budget)

Flower michelle- John was great. he can give me the center piece that i want. he had some great imput into my flowers that i want and he elaborated on my ideas. ive never heard anyone that was unhappy with him. )he was just a few $$ over my budget)

PWP- House florist at the FH. Richard was nice. he knew exactly what i wanted when i showed him pictures. he said we could go to the rental place and pick the stands together so i get exactly what i want. my friend used him as her florist and the work came out great. (Priced out the highest of everyone)

Signature Florist- george was nice. i can get the centerpiece i want from him i think he included more flowers then anyone else. however he wanted to charge me the most for my centerpieces 100$ per table. that was the highest quote for the cp however my personals were less $ then others. (still over my budget)

my question ladies is do i stick with the centerpiece that i want? do i look for an alternative to make my budget work. i know a few hundred dollars doesnt mean much to some people but that money could go towards something else like the ceremony music i want or toward our wedding bands.

I think it really depends on how important flowers are to you. It sounds like you would rather use the extra money towards something else, so if you like your second choice CP then why not go with National Floral? However, if you think that you will regret your decision later on, then maybe you should go with one of the other options.

Personally, flowers are not that important to me so I went with the cheapest quote (NFW). Even if they are not exactly what I envisioned, it's not a big deal to me b/c flowers just aren't that important to me.

I'm in a very similar situation. We just booked our photographer and videographer which ended up a bit over our budget, so we decided to cut back on the flowers. I also met with John at Flowers Michelle too but can't justify spending that much on something that will just die. I loved him and his ideas but $5k is a little ridiculous. My photos and video will last forever, it's all we can really take from the day. I would rather put the money there. I'm meeting with Burton's on Saturday to see what they can do. We have cut corners anywhere with this wedding, but it seems this is where we finally will.

What CP are you looking to do? Post pics!

I honestly think you have to decide between the price and the 'look' - which is more important.

Personally, $$$ was more impt to us, so we went with NFW b/c of the price and b/c we liked the CP they made for us.

If I had to choose from your post above, I say go with Flower Michelle if it's not too much over your budget, b/c he can give you what you want.

Wow, 5 florists, I'd be screaming my head off by now and wouldn't want to see anyone else! LOL

I agree on Flower Michele as well because he can work within your budget. Did you tell him he was a little over and if he can work with you on it? It doesn't hurt to ask.

Good luck!

I had a wonderful experience with Simply Stems! They are wonderfully creative and they gave a good price!

If a florist is honest with you and tells you they cannot recreat it for you and you have your heart set on it, go to the one that can replicate it for you at the cheapest price. It's a win-win situation.

Right now I'm in the same boat, only worse. I have been to 8 florists, with #9 scheduled for Wednesday, and I have another I've been emailing with, and yet another who is going to get me a price by the end of the week. I'm just not feeling the love, at a price I can afford. Only one florist came in with a price that is at my budget level, everyone else was at least $150-$200 over budget (Flower Michele came in $500 over budget).

Right now, I'm not willing to sacrifice what I really want. By the end of next week, that may change.
