Re: Floral Terrace?

I think they also own the Venetian Yacht Club aka John Anthony's and a place in Battery Park.

My aunt went to the Floral Terrance a year ago and said it was good.

Yep. I went to look at Venetian and the manager told me they alos own Floral Terrance.

The Venetian is doing alot of rennovations in the next few months, changing the dance floors and color schemes.

Floral Terrace and the Sand Castle are run by the same people. I would just suggest that your cousin see as many places as possible before deciding! We went to over ten places before choosing our place. I thought that the Floral Terrace looked very nice!

The makkos family, owners of terrace on the park & the battery garden restaurant, bought the Venetian Yacht Club (formerly John Anthonys) last October 2004

I am not sure how much they are for july but we looked at them & they were $135 including tax & gratuity for either a sat or fri night in Nov but they were giving us Everything they offered. I thought it was ok wasn't my favorite place that I visited. But that is my opinion everyone is different.

Did someone say 'Floral Terrace'

I am completely 100% biased, but it's great.

There are reviews on the Bride's Review for it too.

Re: Floral Terrace?

Since I attended a wedding at the Floral Terrace I always pictured getting married there. It was the first place I looked and I didn't want to look at any other halls.

However I was convinced and decided on Villa Lombardi's!

However it really is a great place I loved the wedding I attended.

Sometimes I wonder why I didn't book it but I am glad I didn't becuase I cousin booked his hall right after me and it was Floral Terrace. So we would have chose the same place for the same year!

Re: Floral Terrace?

There are a bunch of us FT brides here! I am very partial & after attending a wedding there, I am so excited to be having mine there!

Whenever I tell people my reception is at FT, they all tell me how wonderful it will be...I never hear a bad thing (not to say that there aren't any out there)

But to also clear up, Sandcastle & Floral Terrace are owned by the same people. they have no association with John Anthony's

Re: Floral Terrace?

The Floral Terrace is beautiful. Dh and I went to a wedding there in June. The cocktail hour was very big, food was great, the only thing that we couldn't understand was that they only had one bar with 2 bartenders for a wedding of 300 people. We were on line for quite a while waiting for a drink. After the cocktail hour we had to walk up 3 flights of marble stairs to get to the reception room. We actually heard alot of people complaining and saying 'I can't believe that they put their guests through this'. It wasn't that bad-I was just concerned about dumping out in my heels. The room that the reception was in is absolutely beautiful. The bathrooms were not on the same level as the reception-so every time I had to go I had to walk down a flight of slippery stairs(not fun when you've had a few cocktails). Hope this helps.
