My best friend is getting married in 2007. She went to see Floral Terrace and liked it, but shes nervous because she has not heard any reviews about it. Please let me know what you thought about it---positive and negative...thanks!

The Floral Terrace is beautiful. Dh and I went to a wedding there in June. The cocktail hour was very big, food was great, the only thing that we couldn't understand was that they only had one bar with 2 bartenders for a wedding of 300 people. We were on line for quite a while waiting for a drink. After the cocktail hour we had to walk up 3 flights of marble stairs to get to the reception room. We actually heard alot of people complaining and saying 'I can't believe that they put their guests through this'. It wasn't that bad-I was just concerned about dumping out in my heels. The room that the reception was in is absolutely beautiful. The bathrooms were not on the same level as the reception-so every time I had to go I had to walk down a flight of slippery stairs(not fun when you've had a few cocktails). Hope this helps.
I'm not a FT bride but I did visit the place...they have elevators...how come they weren't used?

I did see the elevators.... The majority of people had to walk up the stairs because it was a wedding for 300+ people.

My company has our Christmas Party there every year. The food is fabulous! We always have a great time.

Re: Floral Terrace?
the stairs were a concern,,but the young guests will have no problem walking up the stairs and the older guests can use the elevator....and the drunk guests too..
The CH is on the 2nd floor...and the Reception/ballroom is on the 3rd floor..so your only walking up 1 flight of stairs from CH to Reception.... it isnt like the guests have to walk up 3 flights at one time...
the ballroom is so gorgeous,,that it is worht the walk..
Oh,,,I also requested that there be more than 2 bartenders during CH, since we are having 300+ guests and they have no problem accommodating me with that request...and will have 4 bartenders on during our CH

Re: Floral Terrace?
i have been to 3 weddings and a baptism at the Floral Terrace. Each time I went there was more and more delicious food. The service was great--food delicious--and the ballroom is abs BEAUTIFUL. I have been to many reception halls and i have to say i havent seen a more beautiful room--the ceiling and raised dance floor are def a plus. We had no problem with the stairs--we used the elevators so dont worry about that and the wedding i went to was an italian wedding of like 400 people--nobody complained!
Good Luck with ur decision
