Re: florida honeymoon?
How about a cruise out of NY,you wouldnt have to fly and it would be in your price range.

I agree, cruises can be WAY cheap - especially if you're booking on such short notice. I know someone who just came back from a Canadian cruise and had a great time. Canada's not for everyone - people like to bash it - but I LOVE it and have been wanting to live there, like...forever. Check into cruises - Carnival leaves from the city, Royal Caribbean leaves from Jersey, and I think Princess leaves from Brooklyn? Not sure about that last one..

Yep, Princess does leave from Brooklyn! I went on 2 cruises out of that port and they were wonderful! If you get an inside room, you can get a cruise under $1,000 each!!!!

Re: florida honeymoon?
i live in fl, there are some beautful places to relax, and beautiful hotels. we often take a 2-3 day little vacation. What are you looking to do? Nightlife, or more beach/relaxation? St. Pete beach is beautiful, check out The Don Cesar in St. Pete, its really nice and right on the gulf.
On the east coast, I would also recommend The Breakers in West Palm Beach. Also, The Ritz Carlton in West Palm, or Ft. Lauderdale. Those are on the beach, and are true 5 star hotels. There are a lot of good restaurants and shopping near by. I have stayed at all of these, so I would only recommend them to you based on that - and they were awesome.
were goin on a 7 night cruise (LEAVING from Miami) and then driving down to Key West for a few days
still looking for the perfect place to stay in Key West

Re: florida honeymoon?
Mid Summer...what about heading North? Say Quebec, Maine, Martha's Vineyard or Niagara Falls? Also, one personal and unexpected place I LOVED...South Lake Tahoe...Stateline of Nevada and Cali... absolutely gorgeous and a lot of things to do. The water is as blue and clear there as in the Caribbean. Also, you can take day tours to San Francisco, Yosemite National Park and the oldest vineyards in CA. Oh, they also have gambling and its close to Reno and 4 hrs drive to Grand Canyon and / or Vegas.
