FH and I are planning on going to FL for our honeymoon because he hates to fly long distances. We were originally planning on the Keys but his aunt recommended we check out Sanibel Island as well. Has anyone been to either or both places? Which would you recommend? Also, which resorts do you recommend? We prefer to be in a resort where there aren't so much children. Thanks!
I've been to Key West and LOVE it. I don't know anything about Sanibel Island though. I highly recommend Casa Marina resort, it's beautiful. There will be children at any resort though - there are no all-inclusives in Key West and as far as I'm aware (I could be wrong though) no adult-only. There are a ton of smaller B&B type places, but for your honeymoon I'd highly recommend Casa Marina.
I would also look into Bermuda! I think the beaches are more beautiful and it's a shorter flight than Florida!
I stayed in Miami and drove to key largo. The drive is gorgeous. And key largo was great. We went on a snorkel trip/ booze cruise.

I've only been there on a cruise but a coworker of mine stayed at the Fairmont and loved it!
i was just at pine island, next to sanibel. it is OK but i think the keys seem better (but i've never been)
