Florist

OMG, I tried to make an appointment with a Florist for this Saturday and they told me the earliest Saturday they could give me was October 22. Is that normal?

Maybe its because its a busy wedding season, and they will be out in the field doing receptions/ceremonies? Did you try making an appointment for a week night, you might be able to get in sooner?

Yes but I work in Manhattan and then I'd be meeting them at 8-9 pm since they are kinda far out in LI. I just thought it was crazy. Yes, they are busy doing weddings.

It's not crazy!!! I've been trying to see this one florist for months already!!! Everytime we have an appointment FH get's called in to work! Then we have to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks to see him!! I hope he's WORTH the WAIT!!!

Yes, it's normal. There were plenty of florists that I made appointments with weeks in advance.

Hopefully it's a good thing b/c they're that busy!

it is easier to get appointments in the evenings during the week - alot of florists' weekends are booked with weddings!

I have been having the same problem....I finally decided to take a day off from work to do it.

I am getting a little nervous, though, b/c some of the florists haven't called me back, and I've gotten a couple of replies from other florists that were already booked for my date (LA Blossom and others).

I wish that I had decided to take a day off earlier instead of waiting so long to make these appointments.

Question before you guys go to the florists don't you need to know how many tables you are having for centerpieces. Say alot of people don't show and you have extra left???
