I am finally going to go look at florists - are there any specific questions that i should have prepared? Do I need to know what i want because at this point all i know is my budget. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: florist
I honestly walked into all my florist meetings with a very faint and foggy idea of what I wanted, but a set budget. Show them things you like, and they go through it with you from there. There were a lot more things I had to think of than I knew about, like if I preferred a round bouquet, or a more textured bouquet.
Definitely make sure you walk out of there with an itemized quote though.

Re: florist
no, but these are the questions I recommend
price per low CP and price per high CP
delivery charge
payment schedule
gratuity
can I see a sample CP
deliveries, how many will they do
ever worked at the hall before (ie needing to know their timeline)
prices per flowers (burtons is all the same though)

Ooh, good point, Kerry! I forgot about those! Also include in the delivery fee, if there is any set-up fee.
