last night i met with our florist and boy o boy did i leave confused!!! i felt like before we went that i knew what i wanted but after i was back to the beginning stages! all the questions the lady asked and blah blah blah- i have to say she was very very helpful but i guess it is me b/c i dont know which idea i like better! she said she is making me up a sample centerpiece and we will make any changes that i want! i told her that i trust her b/c ive seen her work before and it is amazing so im not really worried in that sense..my problem is what i want i shouldnt really do- i always wanted tropical flowers but my fiances brother got married at russo's also and had tropicals so i dont want to replay his weding if you know what i mean!!!

Re: florist

Why don't you still have tropical flowers, since that's waht you like, just different ones?
I know exactly what you mean though, I want my wedding to be unique from all my friends/families weddings, lol
Who is your florist?
Edited to ask, what tropical flowers did he use?

Re: florist

I know what you mean about 'replaying' the wedding. But, will you remember in 10 years what flowers his cousin had? Probably not - but you'll ALWAYS remember what you had (or didn't have). There are many variations of tropical flowers and even more ways to arrange them. I say go with tropicals and make them different from his cousins. Good Luck and post a pic of the samples when she makes them!

Re: florist

the florist is pedastals in howard beach and to tell you the truth i dont know exactly which flowers they used but i know they spent 10,ooo dollars for them so i cant even compete with it! so im trying to stay away rom them and i leaned more towards stepenotis and orchids.... i hope the sample is wonderful so i dont have to think anymore!!!!

Re: florist

10,000
Do you have a pic from their wedding?
I don't think it's a 'competing' thing, especially if you keep it totally different. But I guess tropicals can get expensive
