Florist ?

Does your florist actually go to the hall with you BEFORE the wedding? I would hope so, so you can show them what you want and where. Please help!

I don't think they do...thats why I was very insistant that whoever I picked for my florist have an intimate knowledge of my hall.

My florist will actually be there the day of my wedding. I think it probably just depends.

Oh no! But, what if you don't want to use a florist who knows your hall? What if you pick one that has never been there?

Mine is not going before, but I gave him specific instructions...I'm not worried.

How many times did you visit the hall before you knew how you wanted it decorated?

I went to my hall numerous times...at least 6 to check everything out. I make a mock plan of the room and gave it to the florist to make sure she knew what I wanted and I also gave one to the manager when I was picking out my final menu. I had him walk the whole room with me and I told him exactly what was going where : ).

That's a great idea!! I guess I have to get my butt to the hall many times!! I'm sure I'll change my mind MILLIONS of times!! If you don't mind me asking, what did you do to decorate?

I guess I just have to pick a florist now, huh? I have to find one who does silk flowers and white lights. Any suggestions?

My reception site has an in house florists used for the centerpieces, so they know it very well!

But using another florist for bo-ks & the church - I'm a Queens bride & she's on L.I., so I took pics & emailed them to her of the altar & stuff. I'll take more pics when we start to finalize, but no, she won't come before the actual wedding day
