I met with a florist that did amazing work. He is used to doing hi-end events where money is no issue. He gave us a proposal which I asked him to revise due to my budget and he said no. He will only give a proposal if we sign a contract and leave a deposit. Has anyone else encountered this?

Don't do it..I'm sick of vendors thinking they have the upper hand, they need our business more than we need theirs!! You have plenty of florist to chose from on Long Island.
The point of the contract is that it is an agreement to pricing, services etc..so what did he want this contract to say? Nothing? I wouldnt sign it!
