Florist appointments tomorrow UPDATE!!!!

So I am going to see 5 florists tomorrow!

Flower Michele
J a c k & R o s e
Pedestals
Flower Barn
and Burton's

Any advice?? I am so lost when it comes to this, I have an idea of what I want like will they draw something up for me, or is the inital just strictly about $$$

(I do have some pics to bring to of stuff I like.)

So we only made it to 3 bc my mom and I said F it and went to Fortunoff instead! LOL

anyhoo- We met with Pedestals, Flower Michele, and J & R.....

LOVED LOVED LOVED Flower Michele! Pedestals was great too and J & R I was a little disappointed (this was only my experience I have heard wonderful things about them). So I still want to see Flower Barn and Burton's and plan on making appointments with them this week if possible... but we had so much fun! Nadia at Pedestals was so sweet and really saw my vision, and Rich at Flower Michele was just awesome!!! He was accomodating had great ideas, and even gave me a bouquet to take home! My gut tells me we will be using them but as I said I still want to check out the others.

i loved pedestals, it was my 2nd choice, Vito was such a sweet guy....haven't heard great things about a woman named Phyllis there.

i booked with nadia.. she's great!!

brought my best friend there as well to meet with her and she booked with her too.

they are awesome.. bring pics of what you want and there are tons of sample centerpieces there to look at and give you some more ideas

Pedestals is a NOOOOOOOOOOO - especially Nadia! I met with her and she was so desperate to book my wedding that she was willing to take a center piece selection away from another bride, so that I could have it for my wedding, and she planned on telling that bride that the center piece holders were unavailable for her date (she was trying to choose between two holders). I was dumbfounded at this and just knew that as much as I wanted the centerpiece holder, I did not want to hurt another bride. And, when I met with her, she said nasty, false things about Flower Michele and James Cress Florist (I met with both of them prior to Pedestals). She told me FM was going out of business, which is NOT true - IF ANYTHING, they are doing so well, they may need a bigger space!!!! And, she told me James Cress uses second rate flowers. So, be careful with Pedestals - EXPECIALLY NADIA!

I booke with FM and am ECSTATIC that I did - they are so much fun to work with, so helpful and despite their continuing success - THEY KNOW THEIR BRIDES - and they care about each couple and making THE DAY special. There are no gimmicks, so false sales practices, just true, genuine, loving owners with a true knack for this area of your wedding!

that's insane.. & very good to know tho

she knew my fh from the catering business so she was very good to us and accommodating, didn't bad mouth anybody to us & has been a doll to work with thus far... she recognizes me when she sees me at showcases, knows my name, remembers my piece and everything.. so i have nothing but good things to say about her

I booked with Nadia she's awesome and I personally know two past brides who loved her as well, good luck buddy!!!

I chose Pedestals....if you go there try to meet with Vito....

Bring pictures and if you have a sample of the color of the BM's that would help too. Vito has tons of pics of his work and he is such a sweetie.

make sure u see a bunch before you make a decision, but if you get the feeling that one is right...it usually is. Thats what happened to us with pedestals... i have heard good things about all the ones you listen though...goodluck

DA MN Platinum Weddings!!, I always want their flowers!

i looked at the following:

flower michele-i thought they were really and their prices were reasonable..they were actually my 2nd choice

pedastals completely turned me off..they made me wait forever, they could have cared less about what my ideas were, and i thought their prices werent that great..i met with phylis thought, and ive heard others there are much better..

flower barn..once again wasn't blown away, i felt the guy could have cared less about whether or not we booked them..prices were good though

burtons-very laid back which i liked..but i didnt like that they wouldnt make me a sample until really close to the wedding unless i wanted to come on a saturday and see some of the flowers they had done for other people..i work on saturdays..once again very good prices though..

have you tried flowers by gina? that's who i booked with (after looking at 8 florists) and she's amazing, as are her prices..

btw these are all jmo..i dont mean to offend anyone!!
