So I'm going on Sat with my mom to my first florist apt. What should I be asking? This is going to sound so bad but I want to spend the least amount of money possible on flowers. I just cant see spending a fortune on something that is just going to be thrown out and eventually die... Is there any specific questions that I should ask? Should I bring anything with me? This is the first apt that I'm acutally intimidated by...

Florist Apt! Questions?!
I just started this. Honestly, just bring pictures with an idea of what you would like/have in mind. The florists will ask you a lot of questions to get an idea what you like.

You should have a list of how many people are in your bridal party so that you know how many bouquets and boutonnieres you need. Also if you will be having CPs think about how many you might need (if you're not aure ask you RH how many tables you will have based on the amount of people you are expecting). Furthermore will you be having flower girl baskets or corsages/bouquets for the mothers and grandmothers.
Look online for different ideas you like based on your color scheme.

Re: Florist Apt! Questions?!
Don't be intimidated! I pretty much knew (and still don't lol) know much about flowers and had no idea what I wanted. But I looked online to get an idea of what I liked. I brought a few pictures (which I ended up not even showing her) and a list of what I was going to need. For ex, how many CPs, bo-ks, etc..
The lady I worked with at my florist pretty much asked all the questions and from that started giving me ideas of what I could do. Before I even showed her the flower I loved she showed it to me 1st and said this would go good with my colors and theme and I was like 'YESSSS!! I actually was going to show you a picture of that' lol Every time she mentioned any other flowers to go in the CPs and bo-ks she would show me what it looked like. She really helped to create a vision. So if you have no idea what you want don't worry.
My appt lasted about 2 hours but that is because we got along so well with her and were chatting away and she took her time to show us everything.
Good luck on your appts!

Who are you going to for flowers?
Some places charge a fortune for flowers. My florist charged me $70 for low centerpieces.

I did candles centerpieces to keep down costs that I purchased over the internet. I have the same exact feelings as you do about flowers. I paid $365 for 24 centerpieces! :)

I also called Hidden Essence and plan to check out Towers too. 2 of my friends used them and they were fantastic... Also bring with you a picture of your dress, so they get a feel for the style you are going for, and if there is a lot of detail they obviously won't want to cover it with your bouquet.
