I am finally looking into florists! ![]()
I went to visit a bunch this week and wanted to share my initial visits.....I went to see FBB, Flower Michele, Pedestals & B*rtons....This is what I thought:
FBB: I liked Brian...he was very nice and I have seen his work and its gorgeous. I have heard some bad stories though esp from some brides on here but with the amount of weddings they do I am not surprised not everyone was 100% happy. When I went to meet with him he was at his new location so nothing was really set up...bummer! Didn't get to see many flowers at all....disappointed. Overall I liked Brian and am still considering them but simply based on past knowledge of his work..not on this initial visit.
Flower Michele: Met with Joseph and LOVED him...he really loves what he does and sat down with me for over an hour going over every detail....I loved he personal feel I got from Flower Michele. He really took the time to find out what I liked and disliked and made sure he was going in the right direction. I like that they only do 2 weddings a day. I feel like I will have that personal touch with Flower Michele and I totally think they will deliver my vision. Only issue I had was with the $$ he quoted...it is over our budget...I am going to see what they can do because I really loved their work and feel they are they best choice.
Pedestals: Showroom was gorgeous and they have the experience. A friend used them and her flowers were gorgeous. I met with Virgil and he spent more time showing me pics of flowers and asking me 'do you like this?' and less time talking to me about how he will make my vision come to life....I didnt like the lack of personal attention I received. I did like they he gave me some orchards to take home...nice touch! In the end their quote was WAY over my budget...
B*rtons: What a great place. They are great for basic flowers and their prices are amazing. The reason why I am not going with them is because my flowers are 'out of the box' (as he said) and by no means traditional....I felt like he was having a hard time with my vision and putting it together. I also didnt like that they do a ton of weddings a day.....I feel like I won't get that personal touch. You really can't beat their prices though!!! If you are on a budget I would DEF go see them!
