Florist Dilemmas....

Florist Dilemmas....

Here's my situation, what would you do?

Florist A: Great price, came in hundreds under anyone else, but I think I'm getting less flowers for the money. Personal attention, got along well with, not a huge flower operation, but seems very trustworthy... probably not as experienced as some other florists. I know exactly who will be doing my flowers.

Florist B: More bang for the buck but slightly higher price by a couple hundred bucks. WAY more flowers. Bigger operation. I become one sheet of looseleaf amongst a HUGE pile of scraps of paper. Will they even remember what I wanted? Do they care? Don't think so. They do so much business it doesn't even matter. Consultant didn't seem to care whether we went with them one way or the other while employees played 'hockey' with flower stems and parts. Hmmm. They will be arranging my flowers?

As I write this, I think I made my decision... but tell me what you think anyway!

I chose a 'Florist A'
Could you ask florist A to include more flowers?

I actually think I can guess who we are talking about here and my vote is for AAAAAAAAAA! Nothing beats personal attention. If you are concerned about the amount of flowers, I would just say so.

Good Luck!

sounds to me like you just need to compare service. if you pay more for florist A will they give you more of what you want (as in more flowers)? if so then it's a no brainer. go where you will get better customer service. florist A.

Sounds like florist A will give you more of the special attention you want for your flowers. They sound like they listened to you and you will get exactly what you want. I went with a florist that I never heard anyone use on here before and I was totally shocked and amazed at how beautiful my flowers came out. I didn't think I was getting as many flowers as I wanted but when the day came and I saw them, they were above and beyond and amazing. Go with who you feel more comfortable with. Sounds like you made up your mind already!!

I think I know who florist B is and ...

I felt the same way. When I saw the scribble on a scrap of notebook paper; and was told that I could not have a copy of my 'notebook paper' quote I knew my florist 'A' was for me.
They went to the point of telling me what I needed, not the other way around (they wrote down I need BM bouquets, when I'm not having BMs!.. when I said I'm not having BM's I got a weird look and it was scribbled off the great sheet)

I don't know how anyone can feel comfortable with B.. but everyone has a different comfort level!
