Just have to vent here--I am getting marrried the week after Valentine's Day, and some florists are really trying to rip me off!!! 2 of them gave me a quote that was $5,000 HIGHER then what I got from Burton's and Flowers by Michele.
Their reasoning behind these absolutely ridiculous quotes was that I was doing all Black Magic roses the week after V-Day, and I was killing them. (And it just so happens that these are the 2 florists that I went to w/out the FH). Do they actually think I am that stupid and naive??? AHHH!! Sorry, they just really made me mad!!

I never heard of such a thing. My best friend got married last Feb. a week after Valentine's day and she had all black magic roses (b-ooks, centerpieces and roses on the cake) and she did not ripped off. They gave her a reasonable price for what she wanted.

I'd dismiss those 2 florists as possibilities. no way they should be charging more AFTER Valentine's Day.
My girlfriend's florist is a new one on Long Island. She just started up a company from home. Used to work for the Milleridge. I bet being a new kid on the block she would be able to give you great prices. If you want info let me know. Best wishes to ya.

Sorry!! I was warned by people to watch out for the florist. I am the week before Valentine's Day. I was told they were going to try and rip me off. I think they did, but I am happy with what I am getting.

call jack and rose he's awesome and i know he can get black magic i was originally going to get for my wedding and they said new years is the second busiest holiday for roses since they have to prepare for the rose bowl. good luck
