I need help! I know nothing about flowers except that FH brings me pretty ones during special occasions.
What things should I know before I see the florist?

it was easy for me cuz i knew i wanted all roses, but if you have no idea names and stuff, just bring in pictures of what you like!

I would just first pic a color combo you want for your bouquets and centerpieces and just do some google searching for images and if you see something you like, print it out and bring it with you when you meet with florist. They will be able to tell what flowers they are and how much it would cost - or they may suggest some cheaper flowers that would look just as nice to cut costs for you.

Thanks girls! But do the colors have to match the overall color theme of the wedding? My color theme is green and ivory, but I would like brighter colors for my bouquet.

Doesn't really have to match the color scheme, but I feel like it should or should incorporate/complement it at least.

ITA... but just go with your gut... do what you feel will look best. just make sure you do what you love best vs conforming to what others think is 'right'
