florist help

when should you book a florist? I know the colors I want and how i want things to look but when should i start going on appointments. wedding is in june 2012

I just booked mine, she was the only one i met with and I just loved her so much I booked on the spot!

Florists don't tend to book as early as say photog/video, but if you have your heart set on one, it can't hurt to start looking and get quotes!

The one thing I will suggest is getting a quote from a local florist. They are, in my experience, sometimes more reasonable than the big wedding florists.

I booked a year before but I booked all my vendors early. It's up to you really but I would do it before the 8 month mark

Start now! Don't waste any time. There is so much to do, dive in with something that you know you want!
I went to 3 florists to get quotes and went from there.

I booked mine like 14 months in advance, but you don't need to do it that early. If you have the time, since you have an idea of your colors and such I'd go talk to some florists soon!

I booked my florist about a year in advance but it was kinda silly to do so early. She wrote up a proposal suggesting flowers that she thought would go with my theme colors... but now that has all changed. I will wind up going back to her once I have my bridesmaids dresses picked out and such. Check out Sugar Magnolias http://www.sugarmagnoliasflowers.com/ . Heidi was the only florist I met with. I just knew that she would do a perfect job as soon as I walked into her beautiful studio! Any questions let me know.
