Re: Florist needed for a serious BUDGET bride
im guessing you tried burton's
alot of girls have posted that they got better prices from a local florist and some even said stop and shop.
what flowers do you need exactly? are you doing anything as far as ceremony flowers or will it just be reception, bok's, bout's. You can look into the wholesale flower industry

I don't know if cheap is a good word for Gina. But reasonable is better. I have been talking with Flowers & Designs by Gina for just a couple of days now and she has been only but GREAT with prices and her floral artistic talent. I am also on a serious budget!!! I would suggest you check her out. She is a vendor on this site.
FM for more info.

Burtons wasnt available for my day
I tried a local florist in my neighborhood and they were still too much.
Stop n Shop will be my very last resort.
I want gerbera daisys. I am not sure about the church flowers yet (i havent thought about it). My RH is providing candleabras that I will hang a wreath around with gerbera daisys!

I think I met with her. She was very nice but as much as she worked with me I really thought she was too pricey.
Oh no...does this mean that I am searching for something that doesnt exist?

you could give the wholesale flower district a try. For my e-party thats what i did and i paid $400 for the flowers i needed which were 16 cp's. I was an idiot and said i would pick up the flowers a few days before which come closed and take care of them myself. THey deliver and can arrange them for you too. If you save alot through them then the extra fee still can be less than a florist.

how much are you looking to spend and for how many things? like how many bok's, bouts, flowers for the cp's or wreath like you said. And anything else you might get such as corsages for moms or nosegays instead of corsages

Hey Espo,

lol yeah i know what a horrible name right.
Well instead of corsages for the mothers you can do mini bok's which they call nosegays for some reason. I know both of our mothers wouldnt really be into the whole corsage thing so i thought this was better when the florist suggested which thank god bc i didnt want corsages for them either. We picked mango calla lily's for their nosegays
here are pics of it
here is my mom with hers
here is mil with hers
here is a close up of it but he was also holding one of our moms nosegays lol and a bm's white calla bok

its an actual district as in a part of the city where there is one wholesale florist next to another and this goes on for 3 blocks. Between 26-29th streets on 6th ave all down those blocks theres a bunch of them.

Go to your local florist- I went to the local florist and they were more than half of the ' wedding' florists

bout actually stands for a guys bouttiniere that he wears on his tux along with the other gm. And for rb they dont get flowers just a ring pillow
well you need 8 bm bok's(including moh's) on average well on the lower end alot of girls have paid $65 on here so that would be a bit over $500 not including yours, this is through a florist though so maybe wholesale you can get it under $500 for the bouquets. Bridal bouquets usually are about $150 even more so $200 and up but again maybe wholesale place you can get it for lss.
also dont forget the bouttiniere's for the guys.
I dont know what the daisys would cost at wholesale price but you can def give it a try

not that i know of. WE got married in a catholic church and had a monsignor perform the ceremony and well he doesnt wear a tux so obviously no lol. But otherwise never heard of the bride providing it for a pastor or officiant or anything like that.
ETA: i saw what you edited. If they are not in the bp then they dont necessarily need one but can wear one if you want them too. We got bout's for our groomsmen including rb, both our fathers, one reader who was a male. I have no brothers and dh has a brother but he was the best man so he had one bc of that
