Florist Next!

Ok now that I have the dress, DJ, and photog I am starting to look at florists. I really want a place with a good price. I def want to budget in this area. So far I made an appointment with Flower Michele.

Where else should I look? My hall recommends Flowers by Brian and Pedestals.

i met with verbena and flower michele wound up booking fm but verbena was cheaper

we liked flower michele alot too. we also met with flowers by brian and flower barn but werent crazy about either of those.

We looked at Pedastals, Flowers By Brian, Spitz & Peck, Burtons and Dalsimer.

We went with Stacey at FBB.

One thing that annoyed me about a particular - but I won't name names - is that the florist was going to charge us for an entry display and a display on the piano at the Woodlands. The Woodlands says that they have fresh flowers there every day and they are included. These florists are the one's that provide the flowers to them. I think that if we choose them as a florist, they should not charge extra to provide those two pieces. Not a big deal, but I found it to be a real turn off.

Many of those florists showed us beautiful flowers and in the end we picked the person we felt most comfortable.

I have flowers by Brian and loveeee them......I actually met with Brian himself and he was sooo accomadating that I was amazed. I am a very anal and neurotic person and I kept saying I want this but not this, I like this but not that, what if I don't like the first CP trial that you guys show me and he kept saying 'Listen you are the bride and I want to make your day go as smoothly as possible, I will make you 3 different centerpieces if thats what it takes for you to be happy' and he kept throwing things in and wouldn't charge us extra for the little silly things...I found them to be amazing and he was the 1st and only 1 that I met with. Love him

We're using FBB and are so happy with them (we met with John in the Howard Beach office)! They're really easy to work with and we got a lot thrown in for us. I actually have to go back because we have low CP's in our contract but I saw ones at the WM showcase by them that I LOVE and they were high.

We have met with Flower Michele and Dalsimer so far.
I absolutely LOVED Joseph at Flower Michele. It was my first florist appointment so I didn't know what to expect and he was fantastic. He got immediately the style that I liked and asked great questions and made suggestions. After about 10-20minutes of talking he disappeared to the basement and came back with a handful of flowers demonstrating what would be incorporated into my centerpieces! To have someone immediately translate what we were speaking about made me confident that he understood my vision and knew what he was doing.

Dalsimer, however, was an entirely other story. I know they do great work, many girls on here have attested to that. But their service was AWFUL. I had to wait almost half an hour before I was seen because the bride before me showed up late. I was on time yet I was the one who was inconvenienced because she wasn't on time. Then we met with Warren who, I kid you not, BURPED! out loud, right in front of us. He jotted notes onto a legal sized pad of paper, barely asked me questions about what I liked disliked, and when he was showing us a slideshow of their work barely paused when I asked him to stop and said 'that is exactly what I like'. I would NEVER hire them based on his behavior. I don't think he understood what I wanted and I would never feel comfortable booking with them based on my experience.

I intend to check out Verbena and Flowers by Burton too but I loved Flower Michele so much I have no reservations about booking with them.

I looked at Flowers by Brian and Flower Michele. I went with Stacey at FBB. She was professional and a pleasure to work with.

I was NOT impressed by Flower Michele. They were not understanding of what I wanted and tried to change everything I suggested, plus they were the same amount as FBB but were including far less things then FBB.
