Florist Qs ... need input

I just met with a florist over the weekend (not a vendor on this site; but I will protect the names of the guilty) and received what I thought was a horrifically (if that's a word) expensive quote.

I wanted callas and hydrangea in a simple satin wrap for my boo-k.

callas for MOH (only BM)

single small calla boot for FH
2 other boots with single rose and one stephanotis for BM and usher.

approximately 15-20 rose centerpieces with votives

tule for the ceremony (which I understand can get up there in price)

3 rose arrangements for the ceremony.

I was quoted $3500.

Am I totally underestimating my floral budget or am I just dealing with the wrong florist....

Feel free to FM me if you are uncomfortable discussing numbers.... or even if you feel your florists would be a better fit for me.

Thanks ladies and gents, I need all the help I can get.

IMO, that is alot of money. Speak to Carmine at Flowers By Emil . He is wonderful to work with and is very very reasonably priced.

That is WAY too much. Why don't you post on the vendors board exactly what you're looking for and they'll give you a bunch of quotes. I found Laurie from LA Blossom to be one of the most reasonable and I really like her personality.

I think that's WAY over price! Mine are costing much less than that and I'm getting all roses. Please look around because there are other places out there that will work with you and YOUR budget. Good Luck

I have about the same, & mine is only slightly less. Everyone told me mine is overpriced. The all rose centerpieces can get up there in price though.

People here have reccomended Burton's b/c the type of flower doesn't effect the price of the arrangments. Maybe you should try them.
