Florist question

Do you need to know the kind and color of flowers that you want before you see a florist? I'm having a hard time deciding which color my bridesmaids will wear but i want to book a florist soon.

Re: Florist question

you should have a general idea...but if you don't most florists will be able to work with you and give you ideas that will work with the season you are getting married in

Re: Florist question

I had one idea when I booked Burtons and then about 4 months later I totally changed my mind. They were very easy to deal with when I made the changes.
Because they don't charge for the type of flower you want, but rather the type of item I was able to change my mind without changing my quote.
I would bring in images of stuff I liked and he would also show me flowers. You pay them to be your experts and help you make flower decisons.

Re: Florist question

When I went to interview florists I told them that I wanted calla lillies & no or very few roses, and I wanted it to look Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly. One florist looked at me like I was crazy, another florist came up with some ideas, but nothing that knocked me over, then my florist ran into the back room & brought out a bunch of flowers & put them together right in front of me. I still don't have a clue as to what all the flowers were that I used....all I know is that they were gorgeous!!!!
