Florist question!?!?

Florist question!?!?

FH and I went to check out Watermill, which my MOH (sister) got married 2 yrs ago. He showed us a list of people who they recommend and he bad mouthed everyone who my sister had including her florist. I won a free bridal bouquet from With all my Heart florist...I gotta sit down w. them and see how their prices are. My sister had ***********...any feedback on that?? Also while i was there (Watermill) the guy recommeded Burtons on rt 110 in Huntington. I heard many good things but havent gone there yet. Whats strange is Burtons is never on any lists of recommendations or ever advertise, any brides using them?? or know anyone who has used them?? liked them, love them?

i am using burtons. they get great reviews.
its not strange that they dont advertise - they don't advertise to keep their costs down. They generate revenues by word of mouth.

Who did you meet with @ the Watermill. My BM is Brian and he did not bad mouth any vendors. I am surprised they suggested Burton. I am using Burton and they are not a recommended vendor cause Buton has to pay a fee to the Watermill (10% I think) Which they dont want to do. Burtons told me they do a lot of Weddings at the Watermill. That's probably why he recommended them.

I am not sure which florist you are referring to cause it was blocked out. If it was J a c k & r o s e I would stay away from them. They were on shame on you for screwing some bride.

i checked out burtons and saw them preparing for a wedding they do have all under control.. some vendors dont go on catering halls 'recommended list' because commission is involved... so go with who you feel comfortable and search this site and you'll see the diff florists people are using and reviews on them.. i didnt pick a florist from the hall's list b/c they were overpriced!

I don't know about the watermill or comission or anything else but I do know that we used Burton's (who we heard about through word of mouth outside of this site) and were very happy...Our CPs and bo-ks were very simple (as requested)but everything looked great and their prices are very reasonable...

We used Burtons and were very pleased. Just because a company doesn't advertise doesn't mean its bad, THEY DON'T HAVE TO ADVERTISE!! Some companies do tons of advertising like M&V limos and they are horrible.

Flowerfield has Burtons on their recommended list so we checked them out. they seemed very reasonable we just haven't sat down and decided which florist we are using. Most likely them

I'll be using Burton's because of word of mouth. I've seen incredible flowers by Burtons in the Brides Review section. I don't beleive I'll be dissapointed with them.

We used Burtons and we loved them. I have pics in my Wedding Pics album from the day of the wedding of our bo-k's and in my Planning album are some sample pics for our CP. We loved their work. They don't advertise because it's just by word of mouth. They only do weddings all year long. Go and check them out. They have great prices and are very helpful and friendly. Good Luck!
