I'm getting married in May and booked my florist a few months ago.
I wouldn't say 'OMG run out and do it ' but you might want to start looking around and comparing florists, so then you can take your time finding one that you like.

I've been pricing florists via email...and so far the least expensive has been Flowers by Emil...If you don't feel like going in person then maybe shoot them an email with some pictures of what you want, and they will probably email you an approximate quote.
