I am having a small problem and hope you ladies can help. About 3 weeks ago my mom and I went to a local florist nearby. The woman we met with was great. We were there for an hour and a half, she explained everything to us, helped suggest ideas, etc. I brought magazine clippings as well. The woman said that she will make us a sample centerpiece (one high, one low) so we can get a better idea of what she could do for us. We didn't sign a contract and she was not pressuring us, but as long as she can work within our budget and we liked the samples, we really planned on booking with her. She said she would give us a call to schedule the sample appointment, but said it couldn't be the following week because that was a busy week for her. So, this Saturday (9/27) will be 3 weeks. Do you think I should contact her to make sure she's still doing a sample for us? How long did it take you ladies from the time of your first meeting to the time to see your first sample? Thanks. Sorry so long.

Re: Florist Question
I think you have every right to contact her. I booked with Burton's, but I think the most common practice is that you don't see a sample until about a month or so before the wedding. I based my decision on all of the awesome reviews Burton's got as well as the work I saw in the shop. Getting a sample before hand is definitely different than from what I have seen. Although, I think I read the other day that someone was getting a sample beforehand. HTH!! good Luck!! Keep us updated!!

Re: Florist Question
I would definitely give her a friendly reminder call. This month is prime wedding season so I'm sure she's got her hands full and maybe forgot.
Which florist was it, if you don't mind me asking?

It's so funny because the same exact thing happen to me!!!. I thought we got along great, she wanted my business etc,... but then nothing - has not returned my email or call.... I went with someone else.

Re: Florist Question
I would contact her to see what's going on? It doesn't sound fishy. Maybe they're just busy like she mentioned. However, my only concern is that you are a potential customer and she's not being so proactive in getting your business (AKA money). If she's not paying much attention to you know, what will she be like after she has your cash???
I would keep shopping around. Try Burton's they're great and affordable.
