hello. ok, so i am gonna make some apts with florists. i am not looking to spend a lot on flowers bc i do not have a lot to spend, so i need to meet VERY affordable florists. i tried NFW, but they didn't keep their apt with me, so they are out. i am thinking of checking out: flower michelle and lablossom. i have heard great things about both vendors, but what i am wondering is how affordable are they? like, if i went to them and told them my budget for flowers is around $750 for bo-ks, bouts, corsages, and 10 centerpeices, will they laugh at me? i don't know if my budget is too small and not doable. i am going for a simple yet elegant look and i am not picky about flower options, i just want the colors pink and white and i need inexpensive (i like the look of roses, but i don't know if they are too much $). i posted on the vendors board, but didn't get much of a response. let me know what you think! ~lacey ps, i have an apt with signiture for 9/3, i know they are in the same price range as nfw.
thanks! anybody have specific info about how expensive lablossom and flower michele are? ~lacey

Re: florist questions
I went to Flower By Brian, Flower Michele and LABlossom. They were all within $500 bucks of each other. LABlossom was the least expensive, but I wound up going with Flower Michele.
You should also check out Flowers by Emil and Burtons. I have seen pics from weddings they have done and they look really pretty.
Most florists will work with your budget - you just have to see who will give you the biggest bang for your buck.

Re: florist questions
I dont know about the ones you are asking about, but I know that going with a smaller flower shop saved me TONS of money. I looked at both smaller and larger ones...the smaller shops were MUCH more reasonable and the quality was still the same. As of now I am choosing between the Holbrook florist (they did a beautiful job on my best friend's wedding..dottiemchugh LIWer) and The Port Jefferson Florist.

Re: florist questions
Flower Michele quoted me about $1700 for the same package, as did Malkmes. It all depends on what flowers you want, how many BM's, etc. I'm sure if you walked in and said, listen, my budget is set at X$, they'd be willing to work with you.

Re: florist questions
an liw bride used Linden Florist for her wedding and her personal flowers came out beautifully! Maybe you can check them out too and see if they can work with your budget to add CPs also.

Re: florist questions
I dont' think Laurie liked me a lot because she quoted me way more than the other florists I went to. She even charged me 70 dollars for a bag of rose petals . I'm going to go with Flower Michelle . Good luck finding a florist!

Re: florist questions
I went with Flower Michelle and I'm spending 2500. But my centerpieces each have 3 dozen roses and hydrangia in them and my bouquets are all roses. Now, I'm told that roses are not the most expensive option. I would definately visit with them and see what they can do for 750. John is very creative, I'm sure he can come up with something.
