Does anyone have a list of questions to ask your florist? I have DJ questions, RH questions, but no florist questions. Couldn't find a thread for that. TIA.

Re: Florist Questions
I didnt have a list for florists either... hmmm, I guess ask them if they ever worked in your RH and ceremony location... it's helpful when they are familiar with a venue and the venue's restrictions, etc. How many weddings do they book for one day? Ask if they have insurance? Do they pick up and drop off flowers from church if you wanted them brought to the hall? Also, most florist offer the bouts and coursages for free. I'll try to think of other questions

Re: Florist Questions
First of all, Vendor Rave- I'm going with the Little Flower Shop in Lindenhurst. He did my friend's wedding about 7 years ago, and the flowers were so STUNNING that about 5 people who attended THAT wedding requested him for THEIR weddings. And no, I don't work there, and I'm not friends with him. It was simply, every wedding I've ever seen this guy do, just blew you away. No joke. And I'm a flower snob. I didn't even look elsewhere, I just made sure he had the date and booked. I thought it was most important to ask if the florist himself/herself would be at the wedding. Sometimes they send employees to set everything up, but I like that my guy cares enough to be there himself. Ask if they have any in-house centerpiece holders/stands/vases, because if they have to rent them, it's an additional expense. Ask to see them. I found it very important what HE asked ME. What was the overall look I was going for. What were my favorite colors. What color is my dress. My favorite flowers, and flowers and colors I don't like. Best of luck.

Re: Florist Questions
Those are some good points! That reminds me of bouquet size... my florist asked for the height of everyone getting a bouquet. This way they can adjust the size accordingly. I am very short and my MOH is very tall.... so too big would be bad for me and too small bad for her.

Re: Florist Questions
I would ask how long they will be there on the day of? MY florist said during the ceremony and the start of the cocktail hour.
I would ask how much set up and delivery is? Also she said if you pay cash you dont have to pay tax etc.
how much for cp's, personals which include your bok, bm's, groom and groomend bountenair, mother of the bride nosegay....
