I'm getting married at the Vineyard Caterers out East and I just got a quote from a florist.
I'm doing some high and some low centerpieces with hydrangea and ranuculus. Some hydrangea at cocktail hour Sweetheart table flowers two altar flowers pew bows 7 bridesmaids 7 buttonaires for GM Bridal bok 3 corsages Posey's for the MIL and Mom Headbands for flower girls (i provide headband)
7 k total. Am I wrong to think that is high?
Can Anyone recommend another florist out there?!?

It is definitely a little on the high side but that also depends on exactly what you're getting in each of the Bo-Ks....Out of season flowers are pricier and if you're going with orchids over basic roses (for example) it will also drive the price up....
Do some comparison shopping and go with what you feel most comfortable with. Sometimes the cheaper places may not give you the best service or flowers....You'll know when you get there.
its still alot...i have more bok's and they're peonies and calla's and my quote is still lower.
I booked with pedestals and never heard one complaint about them and their work always looks amazing.

That does sound a bit high. I have a huge BP and am likely having 18 tables and my quote wasnt nearly as high as yours. I would definitely check out Flower Michele.

Sounds VERY expensive to me.
You might want to talk to Reneemarie2 she is also getting married at Vineyard also. I don't know what she's doing flowerwise but she went with Flowers by Burton as have MANY of us.
They're definetely worth it.
ETA she's away for a few days not sure when she's coming back.

That seems really high. I am using Pedestals and I thought the quote they gave me was really great. I worked with Phyillis who is so nice and really took the time to listen to what I wanted and then made suggestions on how to make my ideas even better. If you make an appointment with them I highly reccomend requesting her.

Flowers Michele's quote was shockingly cheap but i decided against them b/c in order to drape the skylight i have to use Pedestals but they are amazing too!
r u talking bout the petal drop? where thy drape the ceiling and and then let flowers fall out?

OMG! That's way too much for flowers. U didn't even mention centerpeices....
Try Flowers By Burton, they're prices have definitely gone up since I booked them back in 2005, but it's worth it to get other quotes. With Flowers by Burton, each flower is the same price!

I know! The CP's are half tall (11) and half low (11) so 22 centerpieces in total.
I just saw on the proposal and she is charing $650 bucks delivery fee when she is in the same town as the catering hall!!!
THIS IS WAYYYY TOO HIGH!!!! Like exorbidantly too high!!! Check elsewhere!
ETA: I have almost the same package - I have 2 less CPs and I don't have the church decor and my price is $3,000. Also, I have more BMs, more corsages and more bouts. And my CPs have calla lillies and orchids, which are on the expensive side of flowers.
