Florist Vent

My MOH is getting married next Friday and she went to see her (our I'm using her also) florist today and she wasn't there for the appointment. My MOH leaves her last deposit and a message for the florist. She gets a call from the florist telling her she can come pick up the flowers next friday. MOH is freaking out because the florist is supposed to set up the flowers for the ceremony and reception. The florist has the nerve to tell her that she has too many events that day and she won't have time to decorate the church for her wedding.

My friend's ceremony is at 3 on Friday, I highly doubt she has any other events to decorate that early in the day. And regardless of how busy the florist is she agreed to provide a service for my MOH's wedding and now she wants to tell her pick up the flowers and decorate the church herself on her wedding day.

MOH's fiance got on the phone and told florist off and she agreed to set up everything. They're going back on Monday to personally speak to the florist and make sure she knows she has to set up because that's what they paid for.

Can you believe this? What's wrong with people.

I told FH about the entire situation and he's not worried. I'm not having the florist do anything for our ceremony so she can't pull that crap with us. And I want to see her try and tell me I need to pick up my flowers and metal bases for our CP's; I will turn Bridezilla on her.

That would make me sooooo angry!

That is horrible!! i cant believe she wanted your MOH to pick it up and set everything herself!!! if she's too busy why did she book the job?

Yeah FH and I are going to talk to her about this.

I hate florists, there I said it.
I see that they are very volatile in what the say in their contract and in person, and then do something totally different afterwards.

That is HORRIBLE!!! So unorganized and just plan wrong!!!!

WOW! That's awful! Is it in the contract that they would take care of the set-up for the church and hall? I'd fight that! Maybe just set it up on our own but I'd at least fight for part of my $$ back!

That is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!!!!!!!!!!! I'd be FUMING too!!! That's WHY YOU PAY A FLORIST!!!!! It's also the BIGGEST reason why people don't DIY it!!

That's just unacceptable!!!

Sorry for you and your friend... I know you are using the same florist too... so that must make you a little nervous too. I hope it all works out and this lady gets her act together.

She should be more professional and not so money hungry to overbook herself!!!!
