Florists and Budgets
I know these same questions get addressed over and over again, but I need a little guidance on this and couldn't get the search function to work. Sorry, I know this is long, but I feel a little lost on all of this.
I started my florist search today--I sent emails to three different florist and I called two florists and set up an appointment. I'd like to throw out a slightly wider net and see who else is out there who can deal with a low flower budget but is still trustworthy and recommended.
My real question is: where is the line drawn for a 'low' budget versus an 'impossibly low' budget? I sat down with mom and figured out that we approximately need the following:
18 centerpieces
1 bridal bouquet
5 bridesmaids bouquets
12 bouts
4 corsages
1 gazebo spray of some kind (but I could make this myself if it's too expensive)
Mom estimated it'd be around $4000; I'd like to keep it at under $3000, but flowers are really an area where neither of us has any knowledge or expertise, so I honestly don't know if 3k is anywhere in the ballpark for what we need.
I'm not picky about different types of flowers, and I don't really have a clear style in mind for any of the arrangements.
Can anyone tell me if I'm being realistic with that number, and if so, which florists do you think could work with it? Thanks.
