flower and dj prices?

on average, how much do flowers run? we're planning on doing the centerpieces ourselves, so it should cut a bit off, but we don't even know an approximate price to factor in for a budget.

also, what about djs? we don't want an mc, just a dj who's good at what he does for the reception. average prices? recommendations?

My florist is about $2,800 and my dj is $3,600.

It really all depends on how many boquets and centerpieces you will need and whether you are doing high or low centerpieces and what type of flowers you will be using. I am using roses and calla lillies for boquets and all calla's for centerpieces.

My dj is a lot b/c I am also doing a photo montage and a dj & mc. The photo montage includes 2 50' plasma screen tv's and zap photos.

sorry, i guess i should have specified amoutns more. for flowers it'd be for my bouquet, 6 bridesmaid bouquets, fh's boutennier, 6 groomsmen boutenniers, and then corsages for the moms (2) and boutenniers for the dads (3). that's the minimum. if the price is right we may look into pew decorations and all that other stuff.

for the dj, we just want the minumum. someone who can play the songs we want, not play the ones we don't want, and just announce things like the first dance, etc. (we don't want to pay for an mc, so the dj should be able to handle this, right?)

I was just reading your last post and wanted to let you know that I too have the same amount of bridesmaids and groomsmen as you. I also have 3 fathers w/grandfather and 3 moms w/grandmother and a ring bearer and flower girl and pew decorations.

As I said before, I am using a lot of calla lillies which raises the price b/c the are not cheap.

My DJ is 2,700 and that includes a jazz band for CH.
