im going to have 30 tables... 10 people a table = which translates in to 30 centerpieces, ideally i would want all high/tall CP but i know that is alot of money...since im splurging on other things such as photographs, favors etc...flowers is where i sadly have to cut back on. my budget for flowers is 2,000-2500k
do u think if i do high and low CP ...it would work out. Alot of people rave about Flower Michele, but with my situation do u think john could work something out or are they too expensive in my case...

Re: flower budget
It all depends what kind of centerpeices you do. Roses are the cheapest centerpeices. Im thinking you can do tall and short rose centerpieces on that budget. You should call michelle and flowers by brian and meet with them. Tell them your budget and ask what they can offer you with this budget in mind.
I am also having 30 tall centerpeices using FBB h/e they are mixed flowers and i am spending alot only because i always knew i wanted alot of gorgoues flowers for my wedding. And i am having chuppah which is expensive all on its own. IMO flowers set the mood and theme of the room. H/e i heard roses are the most inexpensive and i think that theryre beautiful! Wont hurt to ask.

Try Burtons they have really low prices I think you will do well there.....I did pedestals but they may be too pricy, depends on what you get but definatly get a quote from Burtons

Re: flower budget
La Blossom was over my budget by 1k...I got what I wanted from Flower Michele. High and low centerpieces would look very pretty. It breaks it up a bit. Just go and see John at Flower Michele, and see what he can do. You won't know until you go and see.

Re: flower budget
I'm in the same situation as you and I've decided to do high low b/c I feel like 30 high cp's is way overwhelming and I can tell you I've been to 11 florists and the cheapest one has been Burtons and the price they gave me for high/low was $3395. Flower Michele's estimate was around $3,800 but with that I was limited to roses and hydrangea. If you find something less expensive than Burton's DEFINITELY let me know!

Re: flower budget
I would definitely check out Flower Barn-I met with LA Blossom and Flower Barn-both were great and very creative. I did get more for my money with Flower Barn and they were able to work with my budget and make me very happy! It has been a good experience so far!

Re: flower budget
If the recommended florists can't work within your budget, you may want to think outside the box....
I have a TINY floral/reception decoration budget.... would like it to be around $900. I have 8 tables, and 2bridesmaids.
I decided to buy really pretty colored votive candles and holders from the clearance section of crate and barrel (cb2)... I also bought wholesale tropical shells (we're going to be by the water), and colored glass pebbles. (total for all these items: $120)
These things will provide shine, light, and texture to the center of each table, and will be complemented most likely with a pretty flowering potted plant in the center.... (still working on the plant part...)
you have a summer wedding like me, so it's easy for us to buy plants.... Alternatively, if you want more traditional centerpieces, pick inexpensive in season flowers.... that will lower the bill no matter whom you chose as a florist....
hope this helps!

Re: flower budget
call masters & co.
my CPs were only $50 each--including the large arrangements, petals and votives!
they were gorgeous! (not such a great pic, but you get the point)

Re: flower budget
can you make tables of 12 or 14 to lessen the number of CPs you need?
Check out Pedestals -- I worked with Rob and he's fantastic. He'll help you get what you want for the price you want.

Re: flower budget
flowers are not the only centerpieces you can also have lots of big candles in the stand they look so good. and just do every other table one with high flower and one with candles in those stand at home goods trust me its more bang for your buck!! and you can tell your guest your theme is dinner by candle light!!
