Flower Dilemma/Question

Re: Flower Dilemma/Question
Yes! My best friend is getting married in 2006 too and she started looking at florists last week and she did not know what color our BM's gowns were going to be. She also knew how she wantedthe flowers to look and the florists were able to just work with that and give her quotes.
Re: Flower Dilemma/Question
my florist wanted me to have my bridesmaid dresses picked out before I saw her... it made it a lot easier with decision making... also different flowers in different colors can cost different amounts of money, so if you go in with a particular type and then end up changing the color your costs may change too... does that makes sense??
Re: Flower Dilemma/Question
Hmmm. well, I would definitely start looking because these vendors book fast. They will let you change your order, so it's not written in stone. If you have any idea of a color (or two) I would pick one of the contenders and go down to a few florists and get quotes. As my florist told me today, they will not charge you differently for changing the color of the flowers. You just have to figure out what kinds of flowers you want (roses, orchids, etc.), which a good florist can help you with. At least if you find a florist that you mesh with and has a reasonable price you can at least book them and fine tune the details later. I know I am going against the tide with this advice, but seeing how fast everything books, I would look sooner then later. I have already changed the flowers I wanted 2x, no biggie. I just knew I wanted roses so it made no difference. Every florist I went to said 'well, you will change your mind 15 times before the wedding, so none of this is written in stone'. I'd say start looking.
