My flower girl is very shy and doesn't want to be a part of the wedding lol Shes 4. My aunt wants to walk her down the aisle which I refuse to let her. how did u/r u planning on getting your flower girl down the aisle? I was thinking about having her 2 brothers walk down with her but my newphews are the ring bearers so is that to many kids? I wish I never asked her to be my flower girl tia

Re: Flower Girl
I'm only having a FG (and no RBs) so she'll have to walk on her own, but I've seen this done before and I think it's adorable!
ETA: I know four is much older than the kid in the photo, but it could still work for a four year old IMO. Just get a bigger wagon!

this is too cute!
My FG was a FG in FSIL's wedding this past May so she knows her stuff LOL. I am more worried about my nephew who is a RB and will be 2 at the time of the wedding. The 'plan' is for FG to walk in the middle of the 2 of them and they hold on to her but I highly doubt that will happen and my nephew is going to gun it down the aisle toward his mom LOL

sorry but if your FG doesn't want to walk down the aisle, i wouldn't force her to. You don't want her crying or making a scene that day.

ita. Even if you thought she would and had no prob. at the rehersal the day of is a different story. Her parent might run out into the aisle and walk her down and you can't plan for that.

Personally, I don't mind when they make a scene or decide halfway down the aisle that they are done and duck into a pew. I think it's adorable!! Try and get her to walk down the aisle, if not, have your aunt on standby to guide her the rest of the way. And don't worry about it- it's not that serious!

I just feel like my Aunt should have told me all this when I asked a few months ago and not complaining to my mom about it. She just wants her daughter in the wedding (which I think she wants to walk down the aisle) lol

I think the best you can hope for is that she grows out of it a little bit by the time your wedding rolls around. By then, she may feel differently about it. Otherwise....keep someone on stand by to help her if she needs it.

I'm having three flower girls and two ringbearers between the ages of 3 and 6. I don't care how they get down the aisle, I just want them to have beautiful dresses/outfits for the day!

Re: Flower Girl
you have about 10 months to prep her or even enough time to possibly get a new flower girl. Whenever I see mine I get her hyped about the wedding and how pretty she's going to look in her dress and how special her role is (she's 5) and she eats it up!
If you're determined to have her in the party and she's still shy, have her walk with the ring bearer...or maybe she can walk down hand in hand with your maid of honor right before you come out?

Re: Flower Girl
I wouldn't have her walk if she doesn't want to. It may be 'cute' to have a kid cry and run back, but really, do you want her too? My nephew was a ringbearer at my brothers wedding and he started down the aisle and cried and ran back down.. Then my sister had to take him outside and he was crying loudly and she didn't want to have it heard in the video as it took awhile for him to stop...she ended up missing the vows. Just something to think about.. I am only have my 5 year old neice be a FG as she is a performer by nature and not shy in the least...
