This is something that has been bothering me for a while, I didn't want to post it on line till.I knew for sure but lately it's been really bothering me and I need to talk to u ladies. Bc every time I talk to my mother about it she is just like well what are you going to do and I just want to cry about it!! Here is the short version..... Apparently we lost a bm, gm.fg and rb without even knowing for sure or why! Bm and Gm twins were our Fg and Rb.....Apparently I did something bc they stopped taking to us. I.asked her 1000x to.talk to me so we could fix it and mend our friendship.....but its been 3 months and we haven't spoken about it. It breaks my heart bc we were all very! I.think I'm hanging a hard time with it now for a reasons 1. Friday was the twins bday and we weren't with them. 2. my shower is in a few weeks and I don't have a flower girl anymore! :( so when we take bridal party pics at my shower everyone is going to ask where the flower girl is!! 3. We don't really have anyone to replace her :( no one haslittle girls, and the cousins on his side that do both have 2 yr old girls who r very shy and don't come to me so they won't walk down the aisle and I'm sure they won't take cute pcs with me! My little cousins r too old for the replacement Rb! He is 4 or 5 and my youngest cousin is 12! That's too old to be a Fb anyway!! I'm sad that I'm not going to get all the cute pics I found in pintrest lol sad but true!
I keep trying to think of friendsfof the family that have little girls but nothing I.got nothing! I'm just really sad about it all! And it's starting to make me stress about my shower which is silly I know but between not knowing exactly when it is and having to make a decision on a fg before that is making my mind go nuts!!
Sorry I needed to vent a little before I cried! I don't want to get into whatever hastened with me and my friends, no matter what I want to try to fix it one day! This is about being sad about my fg situation! Thanks ladies!!

I'm sorry to hear about your FG situation.
Personally, I have cousins who are Fg and Rb age, but I am choosing not to do any of that. My relationship to the parents of the Fg and the parents with the Rb are okay, but not great in that I talk to them a lot. I'm also personally worried that they would want their other kids to come and my event is definitely not having children, yes to teens.
As for you BudgetBride, I think you still have time to figure things out. If you don't have an Fg by your shower, it's okay. Maybe you can still figure something out with the parents? Maybe they are going through something and it might not even be related to the wedding. I would give it some time and if you can't find any replacements, there are always creative ways around it or maybe it's not meant to be.
Wish I could give better advice, but I definitely know the feeling of not having certain things I desperately wanted at my wedding.

Im sorry that is tough...I would wait until end of summer, see if they respond, If not I would just move on from that.I totally understand being disappointed. But your wedding is going to be awesome no matter what! Its totally out of your control and that is what is so frustrating. I do think if they are going through something even if not wedding related they made a commitment to you and that would be not so good if they didn't at least explain to you what is going on. You deserve that I think.

Well said! I think you have time too, to work things out possibly. I dont have a FG but I choose to have a RB and a bell ringer with a sign. Cause i wanted to included two little boys in it. I have a girl in the family that was to old to be a FG so she will give out the bubbles and cry packs.
If things dont work out- just get creative and work with what you have! Everything will be perfect

I'm not waiting for things to work out to decide. After 3 months of not coming to me I have assumed they have decided to be out of the wedding, it's not fair to me to wait. And it's not fair to whom ever I ask to replace her. With t said I do still want to fix our friendship but I'm not playing games with our edging and stressing myself out more. Thanks again everyone!! I really appreciate it!!

You can't assume they aren't in the wedding anymore until they outright say it. My FH was a best man in a wedding who was also a business partner. The business failed and the two of them stopped talking because of it. A week before his wedding the Bride called my FH to see why he hadn't got fitted for his Tux yet! We were like What the $@#@?! We thought maybe she wasn't clued in on what happened but nope she knew. So then my FH looked like the jerk for looking like he backed out a week before mind you they had the falling out 6 months previous. Rest assured they really hate each other now and there is no re-connecting ever. So I definitely would not assume anything until you speak to them.

And, I have been to plenty of wedding that there wasn't a flowergirl. You can do something cute like have your grandmother(s) walk down the aisle with flowers, or your mom(s). Or just not have one at all. Sorry you have to go through this, hope it all works out the way it is meant to!

Well I'm not going to stress the next 8 months she will know she is out by my chpice then I guess. I.well have to tell her. But we r still friends on fb and I have made bridal party comments and she never said anything.....ugh idk!! If I tell her she is out then that means her kids are out. I want a fg though so that's not an opition. My one grandma died 10 days after we got engaged and only having my other living one would hurt me heart bc my other grandma isn't there like she should be! My mom is waking me down with my dad and fh mother posted yrs ago. But they would have been nice ideas! Thanks

I'm sorry you are going through this. The only reason I have a FG is because of my goddaughter. If I didn't have her I probably wouldn't have a FG at all. I know you want all of those pictures that are so stinkin cute on Pinterest but wouldn't you rather have them because the people in there are meaningful to you?
Everything will work out, maybe not exactly the way you wanted it but everything happens for a reason and who knows MAYBE.. MAYBE they will realize 'Hey, this is their wedding day and we should really be there for them' and if not, it wasn't meant to be but everything will be beautiful for you both on your wedding day with or without and FG or RB

Exactly and very well said. I am not having a fg (however am having a rb) and my best friend who I thought would be standing by my side I have not even seen since my engagement. On your special day, you surround yourself with those that are genuinely happy for you and want to be a part of your special day. Big hug! Ssssqqqquuuuueeeeezzzzeeee

Very well said. I was trying to come up with those words, but couldn't. I think about the fact that in 5, 10, 20 years, when I'm looking at my album, will I remember half the people in it? lol

I have several children in my family that are RB and FG age and are frankly just adorable.. but I am not close with their parents whatsoever! Unfortunately they are all my cousins and I just didn't grow up very close to them. It would be uncomfortable for me to have their children in my wedding party.. even though they are so cute!
FH and I are having one FG, who is his Aunt's daughter. He is close with his aunt and I love her dearly, as well as her daughter. No RB at all.
At the end of the day-- yes, that is disappointing! BUT! You are marrying your FH! That's the best reason in the world to have the best day of your life, and not sweat the small stuff.
