Help ladies!!! Whats the oldest that a flower girl should be? My FH has 2 neices & 1 nephew, his bro is the best man and originally we only had the younger neice and nephew in our bridal party (which is already failr big if u ask me) but now the 9 year old is very hurt since FH is her only uncle, and 'why am i the only one not in the wedding?'. I already have a jr bridesmaid, i dont know where to put her other than have her walk in with her little sister as another flower girl ... ahhh family, gotta love em!

That is completely up to you!! My daughter is 9 and everyone thinks she is the flower girl, which makes her angry because she is really the MOH.

My fg willb almost 7 ... Fh neice will b 9. I figured that is too old 4 a fg and I wantd my little cousin as the fg. I didnt want 2 fg. I thnk more than one jr bm is ok tho... We have 3 jr ushers ... I would ask her to b a jr bm just to avoid drama..just my opinion

my flower girl will be 8 at the wedding. it really is up to you, i dont think 9 is too old. i gave my niece the option of holding a bouquet or being flower girl and that is what she decided on. Maybe to get her involved you can have her the girls do something like this... here comes the bride
including some family members and not others def does get tricky...im kinda dealing with a similar thing but havent asked the people yet so im debating what i want to do.
in the end you ahve to remember it is your wedding and you have to do what you want

My flower girl is going to be 6 and my nieces are my Junior Bridesmaids, they'll be 9. I thought they were too old to be flower girls. They've been in tons of weddings where they've been flower girls and I wanted aunties wedding to be more special for them so they get to roll with the big girls :) FH's niece is 6 so it's more age appropriate in my eyes.

Thanks ladies. I love my future neice so very much, and I felt bad that her feelings were hurt. I dont know what I am doing, I have a jr groomsman and a jr bridesmaid, so I guess i will use her as a flower girl and hunt for another groomsman. I am going to have a parade of kids. But both FH and I are the babies of our families and all our neices and nephews figure this is there last shot to be in a wedding. Who knew kids took this so serious? lol

i was a flower girl in my aunt's wedding at age 10. it's fine, just give her a more grown up dress.

Agreed. My flower girl will be 9...going on 35 lol We are just going to get her a more grown up dress! I really dont think there is an age limit. At 9 years old...my neice can't wait to wear a pretty dress and throw rose petals down the aisle....makes her feel like a little princess

My little cousin will be 2, I think she's too young. But my neice will be 8, and she's a tall girl. I think she's too old. She can be a jr. bm with my daughter who will be 12 almost 13. I don't know what I'm gonna do about a FG.

I'll be having a 9 year old flower girl as well. Instead of putting her in a flower girl dress, she'll be wearing the JR. BM version of the BM dress. She'll also have a kissing ball.
