How many of you are having or had FG and RB? My RBs will be 4 and 6 at the time of the wedding and the FG will be only 18 months. Do you think this is a bad idea? Also, I was going to tell their mother that they don't have to come with us in the limo to take pics (we will be going to a park) and it also avoids the problem of 'who will watch the kids?'

Re: Flower Girl and Ring Boys
Hi: I am having my twin godchildren/boy & girl as F.G & R.B. They will have just turned 6, when we get married. I am also having FH's niece as a F.G. who is the same age as the other kids. I was contemplating asking antoher close friend who's son will be 2 at the time of the wedding, but I think that he is too young. Especially since we are getting married in a church. If it was me I would not ask the 18 mo. old, but thats up to you. I've seen one's that age cry and carry on and cause a scene and not want to walk. Whatever you chose, Good Luck.

Re: Flower Girl and Ring Boys
i'm having my twin cousins who will be 3 1/2 yrs old at the wedding, and they are mature for their age, i would also be worried about an 18 month old, you have to just use your judgement cause all kids are different, will you care if she gets nervous and messes up, if you can laugh it off then go for it, if it would freak you out then don't

Re: Flower Girl and Ring Boys
My cousin has triplets (1 boy and 2 girls) but we are only have flower girls and they will be 4 at the time of the wedding. We decided not to ask the other triplet to be the ring bearer because he has an older brother and we thought it may be too much.
We're still trying to figure out limo stuff and picture taking stuff as well.
Last year I went to a wedding where the bride decorated a Radio Flyer wagon. She put white pillows in it with her color accents, a huge white bow on the handle and all around the sides. Inside she had the cutest 18 month old sitting in it and it was being pulled down the isle by another litlle boy. I think he was 6 or 7. She had a blast and then they just pulled her over, handed the whole thing off to the (mom?) and the child sat quietly in it the whole time.

Re: Flower Girl and Ring Boys
We're having a flower girl and a ring bearer, both will be 6 and a half at the time of the wedding. We're also having two Jr. BM that will be 8 and 9.
18 months is a rough age for a child to be in a wedding party. We were actually going to have my cousin and one of the little girls I baby-sit for be our RB and FG, but they will only be three at the time of the wedding, so we moved the age up to his sister and her brother (we are equally as close to them).
My cousin had his nieces in his bridal party last year, and they were between the ages of 1-3 (there were three of them) and they kept walking up and down the aisles. There was really no control and they kept getting antsy.
It's totally up to you, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Re: Flower Girl and Ring Boys
I will have a flower girl who is 5 and ring bearer who is 4, as well as a junior BM who is 9 and a junior usher who is 8. My niece was a flower girl at age 2 and the bride made up a tote bag full of coloring books and crayons and such .. even a disposable camera so she could feel important and take pics. A 'amusement bag' might be something to consider! GL

Re: Flower Girl and Ring Boys
We had my Niece as the 'Leaf Girl' - she was 4 1/2 at the time. Then we had a total of 4 Nephews as either Ring Bearer or Junior Groomsmen. - RB was a mth shy of 4 years old. He didn't really cooperate the morning, so his older Brother (6 1/2) stepped in and did a great job. - My Nephew the other JG was 9.
DH & I both felt our wedding wouldn't be complete without our Niece & Nephews in our wedding. They had such a great time.
At the reception they danced, played with the favor bag we gave them that included a personalized wedding coloring book 'Aunt Lori & Uncle Richie's Wedding Day', crayons, 'The Night Before Halloween' book, little toys, etc.
Not to mention the adorable pics we have...

I'm doing the radio flyer thing!! My niece will be 16 months at my wedding! If she cries, she cries! There isn't anything I can do about it-but that isn't going to change my mind that I want her to be a part of my wedding!! Have whoever you feel in your heart you want!
