Flower Girl Dress...
How do you go about getting a Flower Girl Dress? Do you buy one in the store, or do you order one? If you order one, how long does it usually take to come in? I'm worried about how we're going to go about getting one because my Flower Girl is in NY and I'm in NC, and I won't be up to LI until 1 month before the wedding. We definitely can't do anything until the Spring because she's 4, and still growing. Any ideas? I was thinking that her mom can take her to places in NY, let me know the size and then I'll buy one down here? I'd let them pick one out, but I really want to. I think it's hard to though without seeing her in it?

Flower Girl Dress...
They have some beautiful dresses that you order online (as I will probably do) from www.goldengiraffee.com I will check how long my specific dress takes to ship and then double that amount of time to order.

Flower Girl Dress...
I went to Tri-County flea market in Levittown and paid $65, no tax. The ones in bridal stores are $99 and up. Maybe they can look there and send you pictures? Just a suggestion. Lisa

Who pays for flower girl dress?
I paid for my flower girls dress. But I wouldn't say that is the norm. My Flower girls mother was also a bridesmaid and paid for her own dress (among other ridiculous wedding related expenses!) so I felt I'd help them out a bit instead of making her pay for a little girls dress that she'd never wear again. Plus, I wanted to pick it out!

I took a poll....
I wasn't 100% sure so I asked everyone at work and they said yes, the mother of the child does usually pay, in our experience.

Who pays for flower girl dress?
I was going to buy our flower girl's dress, but my FI's mother offered to make one (its her grandaughter). We picked out and paid for the material. But she insisted on giving us money for it. So in the end, my FMIL paid for it.

Flower Girl Dress...
Melissa- eBay has some great Flower Girl dresses. Just do a search. There are a ton of dress distributors on eBay now. I was shocked at how inexpensive they were too. You can e-mail the seller and ask about sizing. I have the same dilemna about my FG growing until Nov. One bridal shop told me to wait until July/Aug.

Thanks, I'll definitely check out EBay. The only problem I have, is that it's addicting. I probably wouldn't of paid so much for my headpiece, but when someone out bid me, I had to go higher. It was fun on the other hand too! :)

Who pays for flower girl dress?
My mom is going to pay for the Flower Girl dress since their whole family is in the wedding party. My friend is my Matron of Honor, her husband is a Groomsman, and the kids, 3 & 4 are the flower girl and ring bearer. So, since they're already paying for so much, my mom wanted to help out.

Flower Girl Dress...
I had the same dilemma as I was in NY and my flower girl was in Virginia. I had her mom measure every dimension availble, height, head width, waist etc. I then went to the bridal store where I bought my gown and picked out my dress figured out the size, ordered it and then shipped it to her UPS-worked great. Some stores will ship it for you

The dresses on eBay almost all have a buy now option. You don't really have to worry about getting out bid. Also, the distributors have more than one dress in each size so they sell multiples all the time.

I worried about my FG growing, but my mother (seamstress) just said that it will be fine to start looking...she won't grow too much in 5 months...we started to look at bridal shops ($200!!) and then my mom went to Lord & Taylors and said they had a lot and very reasonable...she found one for $32! I would assume most department stores have a dressy girls section... in the end...my mother is making it...b/c I want the style of the $200 dress, she will make it for about $20 (when she gets fabric on sale...)...my FG is in AZ, but luckily my FMIL (FGs grandmother) can sew...and take up the hem if need be...Welcome New Vendors
