Flower Girl Stuff - who buys

My FG is in Colorado. Do I help out in buying in things or is it ok to just have her mom take care of everything? Am I supposed to buy things or is her mom?

I bought my 'leaf girl's' dress because her family is short on funds... (So am I, but...it's my Niece and I really, really want her in the wedding.)

I offered to buy my niece's flowergirl dress, but my sister wouldn't hear of it.

I'm just feeling bad I guess. I never offered - I just assumed. But it's usually the mom who buys it right? Or was I rude?

It's the FG's parents responsibility, but if the parent is also in the BP or they're short on funds, or travelling, I would offer to buy the dress. but you don't have to!
