I am getting married on 10/26/02. How long should I wait before getting flower girl dresses? The 2 girls are 5 and 6, and grow like weeds, I would rather wait until as late as possible so that they don't grow out of them. Also, can anyone suggest a place to get them in either western nassau, or queens. I really don't want the mom's spending a lot of money considering that they will grow out of them in a month. Thanks!
Our flower girl got her dress at David's Bridal. If you look at their website, you can see all of the styles. They pretty much have all sizes in stock, so you can go pretty close to your wedding date and pick it up, and you don't have the hassle of ordering, waiting months for it to come in.
I got my Flower Girl dress at Little Angels in Whitestone (also called Piccoli Angeli). I had to order it and it took a couple of weeks, so don't wait too long. I paid $65 for it and I saw the same exact dress in one of the kiosks (sp?) in the Walt Whitman mall for double the price!!
We got our Flower Girl dress at JC Penney. It's always worth it to look. We paid $25 because it was on sale from Easter. (It was originally $50)
I was told by the bridal shop not to get them until 2 months before. My Flower Girl will be almost 5, so any sooner would be a waste of money! Good luck! Oh... I'm getting my FG dress from The Jessica McClintock boutique in the Roosevelt Field Mall. It'll be about $96.00. Not bad.
Try www.glamgal.com Ann, the owner, is great to work with and her selection is amazing. Plus they are different that what I have seen in most of the stores. My FG is 3, my wedding is November. Ann told me to order the dress mid-Julyish. That should be fine. If you are getting them from a department store you need to make sure that they will still have the dress in stock. Many of the sale dresses are not restocked until the following year.
