Flower girls...

Flower girls...

My FH and I really want a flower girl but don't exactly have any young children in our family and all our friends children are only going to be 1-2 years old by the time of our wedding.

He has a cousin that is 10 years old...is that too old for a flower girl? My initial reaction is yes, but just wondering what you all think because I'd definitely consider it! :)

Our ring bearer will be 9

Our flower girls will be 6, 4, 2, & 15 months

I personally dont think 9 is too old....but ask her if she wants to be a FG. If not, do a juniorbridesmaid

nope we have a 10 year old and a 3 year old flower girl and twin 7 year old ring bearers.

This post is really timely. I was actually just looking at flower girl dresses online.

I have a lot of older cousins so I'm having some of their kids in my wedding. I'm having 2 girls, ages 3 and 9, and 2 boys, same ages. I figured that's a good number and the older ones will help the younger ones.

I don't think 9 or 10 is too old for a flower girl. That's what both of mine will technically be. I'm going to put them in coordinating, not matching, dresses and I figured we'll be good to go.

We were thinking of having my godchild who is 9 as a flower girl, but we are also haveing my neice who is 3 as one. So i was thinking of having my niece throw out the flowers and carry the basket and possibly having my godchild walk right in front of me with the 'Here comes the bride' sign. That way we can kind of have both, and we are not having a ring bear.

My niece will be 9 by the time we get married. She is technically going to be a flower girl but she is not wearing a white dress or throwing petals. I have her carrying a mini version of my bouquet and I think I want her in a pewter or silver dress (my girls are wearing navy)
