Flower Girls and Ring Bearers

Flower Girls and Ring Bearers

My FH and I have decided that we don't want children at our wedding unless they are in the wedding.

So we've decided to have two flower girls, two 'ring bearers', and 2 ushers. One of the 'ring bears' is the actual ring bearer and the other will carry down an engraved Bible that will be used for our ceremony - not sure what to call him yet. Any ideas?

I'm looking for ideas on what gifts to give all six children when I ask them to be a part of our wedding. I asked my FH for ideas and he doesn't care. The FG's and RB's are 4 or 5 and the ushers are 9 and 11. I'm going to give something to all children regardless of whose family they are a part of and if my FH doesn't think its necessary. I think its the right thing to do.

Any suggestions?

my FG and RB are 2 and 3 and a 1/2.

i am getting them PJ's for the reception so they can change into something comfy. we are also going to get them a fun bag to have at the reception with fun things for them to play with and stay occupied.

maybe something like that for the llittle ones but how about a video game or something for the older ones?

The PJ's are a cute idea. My best friend created a photo scavenger hunt for the kids at her wedding. Are you referring to something like that for the fun bag or are you referring to actual games or coloring books?

Also for the older kids do you mean portable video games?

TIA,

the fun bags will have coloring books and activities for them to do through out the night.

maybe a video game for a system they have at home already. i think for a 9 and 11 year old they will have fun dancing all night and miught not need to be 'entertained'

i got the rb and fg these shirts

its from personal creations

and i got flower girls a personalized hankie with this poem

You are so very young, but the years will pass by
and you'll too be a bride, in the blink of an eye.
While you may not remember, the day that I married,
the part that you played, or the basket you carried.
There will be a day, that will burn bright like an ember.
The day you will wed, you will always remember.
So here is a hankie, for the day you will say...
'I need 'something old' for my wedding day'

you choose the box you want and then the poem

I got it from here

I'm already looking into the shirt sizes for our cousins and my nephew!! I love it.

I'm also planning to get the hankies. I think that is an amazing idea!

I was just talking about this with my mom today...

I am thinking of getting my flower girls a nice charm with a chain. I received a pearl on a chain when I was a flower girl when I was 3 and I changed the pearl to a bigger chain now and can still wear it. Im going to do the same for my flower girls.

For the boys, im thinking of getting them possibly a toy since I want something that they will actually like and use. Im still up in the air about that though

I got them fun stuff they will like! Stuff they are already into like Thomas, Barbie etc it doesn't have to be wedding related gifts. Also jewlery boxes and stuff are nice too!
