Flower Girl's GREAT Reaction to being asked!
So FH and I asked one of our Flower Girls on Thanksgiving (her parents already knew of course). Her parents showed her their wedding video earlier this week, so she understood what a flower girl was (she's 6). So we told her we're getting married and asked if she wanted to b be a flower girl in our wedding, and she said YES! So I said you watched mommy & daddy's wedding the other day right, so you know what to do? and she goes YES....Do I get a dress like Lisa (their flower girl)? So we say yes. Then she's like....I have to go tell daddy! Runs into the other room where everyone else is (about 20 ppl) saying 'Daddy, Daddy, I have some very exciting news! I'm going to be a flower girl!' (yes, those exact words!) So her dad says, in whose wedding? and she goes ummmm....(whispers) they're sitting right next to you! ![]()
So cute. My mom is making the Flower Girl dresses, and made a mock-up one with some cheap fabric for sizing (she won't make the actual dresses until closer to the wedding since they will obviously grow), so she brings that down and Christina tries it on and twirls all around the room for about 20 minutes, and shows everyone!
Later, we were playing with Barbies and she had a Barbie in a wedding dress, and found the Barbie Bride's flowers, and she takes them over to FH and says, 'I want you to get me flowers like this when I'm a flower girl.' So FH goes, I'm not in charge of flowers! and she goes, 'but girls ask boys to get them flowers!'
