So i called my florist today, i wanted to go over my quote with the economy im trying to find ways to cut costs for my wedding. As i went through my quote i found things that i could take out, like a candleabra gate that would be by the altar, my Rh sets up for the ceremony so he said not to pay my florist to do it (she was charging me 300) so i deducted that. and instead of doing large centerpieces i was thinking of making them smaller square vases with burgandy gerber daisies in them she told me that it would look bad and get lost on the table and pretty much shot it down but i know i cant afford the price of my cp's as they are now. and im mad at myself for not standing my ground !! i told her to keep them the same for now!! how do i become more assertive with her!! she is very pushy and bossy!! Any advise is greatly appreciated!!

I have to tone down my chruch to get the price down as well.
Sometimes it's easier to write things instead of saying them... so maybe if you start by writing an email about it??

Awee I am sorry. I defintely wouldn't listen to her if she is telling you that they will look bad. Soo many people do short centerpieces and they look AMAZING. Maybe you can do half tall centerpieces and half short.. That will help you save cost but still have the affect of tall centerpeices. My florist actually recommended that to me to cut costs.
Stick to what you want, in the end, you are paying for the florist so you should have the final say.

tell her you are going to go to a florist who understand your vision and is willing to work within your budget and she'll change her tune real fast

aww im sorry..she def should not have pushed ua round like that...i would just bring in a picture and shpw her and say..this is what i want..i think it would look beautiful hth

That's so pretty and seemingly cost-effective to pull off!!! I would call back the florist and say, 'Look, this is what I want, and if you can't do it, I will find another vendor who can.'
