I went there yesterday with FH and met with Barbara. She was wonderful! We had gotten a quote from FBB of $2,400 so I was hoping that FM would beat that.. they got everything down to $2100- if I pay all in cash it would be $1900.. all I can say is that I was amazed and impressed with them.
We also went to Stefan's in Cedarhurst (about 10 min from my house acutally) and met with Paul who was great also but I didn't really see much to wow me. Paul did mention that he'd put together a sample CP for me to see in about a week and the price of Stephan's (although I felt that we're getting more with FM) is about $2300.
I am soooo in love with FM though I'm kinda hoping that Stefan's doesn't come up with something that would really wow me to pieces.. I am kinda torn though. I'd love to be able to save extra $$ for something else by paying cash for FM.

Ok I am getting the following from FM (excuse me if I don't get it all..lol I'm at work and don't have the paper in front of me: colors are lavendar, white, and pink btw.
Bride bouquet 1 MoH 2 BM 1 Groom 1 BM 2 Ushers 1 FG (she said if I have a basket she wouldn't charge me for the petals for her- if not that would have been an extra $40 on the price) 1 chuppa- minimal flowers on it- $500.00 2 corsages (my aunt and FH mom) cake flowers 12 centerpieces @ $75.00 each (each using a glass fishbowl - I loved the look) petals for card table petals for aisles (ceremony instead of having a runner) fabric for the aisles (swagged between rows)
I know I might be forgetting a few things of fthe list but seeing everything in front of me when I went there really made the diffrence...FH was also impressed with them over Stefan's.
Of course if we need more than 12 centerpieces (or less) the price will change)

I did see John at FBB when Kelly took us over there.... I was impressed with them too but they want so much more $$... it's mainly the reason why I went and saw Stefan's as they are a house vendor for Russo's as well. I saw FM after I got the recommendation from one of my FH buddies who's getting married in Oct 2008. Also from the ladies here on LIW.
I think the major diffrence in prices is mainly because of the chuppah- we told all the florists we're seeing that we want minimal flowers on it.
Yes I'm having both the ceremony and reception at Russo's.. in the Tivoli room.

I booked with John and Yes I will be paying $$$CASH$$$ What's better than saving money. I really do love there work and I myself was torn between two vendors. John came out on top because he has an award winning personality that really meant alot to me. He really understood what I was looking.

That room is wonderful too.. was in it last night for the expo with the bands.. I just can't wait for us to come out of the elevator in the Tivoli room and shock everyone to pieces with our entrance.
Well I got a call from Paul at Stefan's .. he's going to meet with me again on Sunday and show me what he can do for me.. let's see if he can really wow me.. if not I'm definitley going to MF!!
