FH and I are doing candle centerpeices and we want to put flower petals down on the tables. We originally were getting them from Michaels (fake) but when we went to our florist she suggested getting a bag of real petals. If we got them from Michaels they would prob just be the color of the BM dreses, if we do the real ones it will be all the colors of the bo-ks. She also said the real would be nice since we would have the smell of the real flowers in the room rather than no smell since we are not doing floral centerpieces. The bag of real rose petals would be 50 dollars, and the fake would prob come to like 25. Which should I use?

I think the fake ones are really nice but I would personally go for the real ones.

I found a website with some info on rose petals this may help you. Some people prefer silk or freeze dried to fresh petals since the fresh can leave stains. HTH

I'd say real...BUT make sure you know exactly how many bags you need before telling the florist you def want real ones. You don't want them to be like, 'Oh well we thought we'd use more because one bag wasn't enough' That'swhat happened to my friend and she was P!SSED. the petals turned out to be really Just make sure you specify how many bags you want

Yea I wasn't sure either thats why I am doing the poll!!! Anyone have any experiences with it!?!?!? Also, I told my florist that I needed enough for 20 tables, so I'm hoping I covered myself with that one!!!

I would do real ones. People are up-close and personal with the tables since they are doing a lot of eating...I think that it would be nicer to see real ones. Just think, they'll give off a nice scent too!!

Re: Flower Petals
i would do fake one's the real ones are good b/c of the smell but when they sit for a while they get dried up and start to crumble. the fake one are good b/c the'll last all night.
