Is this something your Florist can do? Are there other ways aside from having it dipped in wax?

How much does dipping it in wax generally cost?

Re: Flower Preservation
She didn't do the dipping....but I would imagine the wax preservation is much more than the shadow box preservation where they just dry out the flowers.

To my understanding they dont just 'dry' them out I think they take them apart and preserve them and then put them back together. Its but seems like its a lot of work to do so its probably worth it!

Yeah...they do totally take a part the BK and put each individual bloom into some machine that takes all of the water out of it while also preserving the color and integrity of it.... you also have to prepare this before your wedding...they send you a special box to mail the BK in and they give you directions on how to take care of the BK in case you can't send it out immediately.

Re: Flower Preservation
here are some prices from one company: (i dont think its too bad) Shadowbox sizes and prices 5x7 $165 4x12 $170 8x10 $279 9x12 $365 10x10 $392 12x12 $452 11x14 $466 12x16 $498 14x14 $515 15x18 $542 16x20 $575 20x24 $688
This may be a stupid question but, how do you know what size you'll need?

I think that if you wanted something smaller they take your BK apart and make a smaller version of it... you can measure.

Re: Flower Preservation
My BM a former 08er did this and it came out beautiful. It was a little pricey but they did such a wonderful job. She used Keepsake Floral and was very happy. You do have to set this up in advance bc they send you a box that you put your flowers in and ship out as soon as the wedding is over.
