Hello All We went to a Floral Coordinator last night and the prices she gave were a bit steep I thought. Can you tell me if this is what I should expect or can we do better.
First of all I she said my Bridal bouquet would be minimum $250 - 500!!! (ok I almost choked.. $250-500?)
The Bmaids $85-$200
My centerpeices well they varied. We wanted topiaries she said those would cost $250 for Black magic roses. If we switched to white roses and lillies $150
The fountain of light a candle arrangement that looks like a fountian ... pretty and different $110... OK $100-125 per table I'll do that.
Here's a another price that made me gag. For crosages $25-50 dollars.
The guys $10-15 ok.
What am I missing? Does anyone else think this is a lot? Should I prepare myself?
Anyone know of a talented floral coordinator that is not going to Wedding gauge us ?

Lauren Taylor floral event planner , her name is jackie she is the owner and the house florist for the plaza hotel in NYC and garden city hotel and I am paying no where near that do a search I have posted her number before.

I have not seen florist yet but you should try someone like flowers by burton or flowers by michelle or even Jack and Rose.
I believe both of those are one price regardless of the type of flower.
By the way, what is this centerpeice, fountain of light? I have never heard of that!

She's expensive. You can get cheaper. Shop around private floral boutiques mentioned on this site...and I guarantee your bo-k won't be 250-500....ouch!

Try LABlossom, they're a new vendor on the site. They will blow those prices out of the water and their work is beautiful!!!

Really, I haven't done flowers yet, but those prices are astronomical!! Find someone else!!!
You should really check out Flowers by Burton. I love his work and I know alot of brides on here use them also. I am not paying nearly that and both florists I went to actually thru in the guy's boutieners (sp). Hope this information helps.

Try Flower Michelle or Burton's--It doesn't matter what type of flower you are getting--prices are the same.

Flowers By Liz - very reasonable prices!! ETS: at least for what flowers I am using which are very simple
Those prices are way too steep. I am going with Copabianco's in Glen Cove. His prices were way lower. Boutanere's (sp) were around $6- $10 for starters. I can get you the number if you want. Centerpieces start at $30 and go up, but nowhere near what you were quoted. Good Luck!

I am using Flowers By Emil in Bklyn. My price quotes were not where near what you were quoted. I also got all my boutineres for free.

def shop around i think some things are about right but the corsages for example are too high. John at flower michelle is great, I used him

I am using Flowers by Brian and I have heard some people on here say how high there prices are but I think this sounds really expensive. Shop around.
