so we still have flowers to book and we finally made an appointment
i know that the prices vary depending on what u get...and luckily enough fh's parents are paying for our flowers but they have no idea of a budget since they dont know what it tipically goes for and neither do we..and we dont want to go overboard..but we are basically going to book this place bc its fbil's girlfriends dads place and we told them we'd book
we want decent flowers but not too pricey so if u can post what u are paying id really appreciate it! or fm thanks!!!!
oh just to get an idea of what we will need..i'll need my bok, 5 bridesmaids bok, 10 boutineers for the guys...umm centerpieces for the tables (im not sure how many but im having between 150-200 people) i would like high centerpieces or at least a mix or high and low
TIA!

We're paying around 4000 for flowers. Granted we're having 250 people so we will need more centerpieces than you will and i have 2 more bms and 2 flower girls so that adds to it. It really depends on what type of flowers you want. Calla lillies are more expensive than some other flowers like roses. Talk to them and come to something that is reasonable.

You should check out www.proflowers.com I had a local florist. I had my wedding in Mackinac Island Mi so my florist won't work for you. I LOVE ProFlowers and they have some awsome wedding flower packages and choices. Hope that helps

I would say tell them it can go up to $5K so that way when it's less, they think you're getting a good deal!

That's going to be very hard. You can tell your florist your budget is $1k and see what they can do. What kind of flowers did you want?
oh damn! that ***** then...i just don't want to spend thousands on something thats going to die! i think i want roses..but not sure

Wow that is a good price, where is that vendor located? As of right now I have 3 BM's I don't know how many FH wants on his side though. I am looking to have around 130 people so I don't know how many CP's that would be. I also want high ones I think. Maybe I should check out your vendor though!

I recommend Marcella from Pedestals. She did a great job on our flowers.

Re: flower prices question please hellllllp
orchids and callas will be more expensive in most places. Roses are less expensive, so if you like them, that helps
I think a mix of high and low CP makes the tall ones stand out more and that would lessen the price and if you go all low that will help your budget too.
If you have a Sunday wedding you might not need flowers for the church since they should have them for the masses already - - that's what happened with my wedding and they happened to be pink which went well. But I didn't care if there were flowers or not because they look a little odd to me standing in front of the open altars where they are places in my church. and the ones I have seen at masses remind me of funeral pieces! so I can do without.
For the pews, I bought 20 ready made bows at Michael's with a coupon, so they were $20 and then bought some sprays for another $10, cut them into smaller bits, mixed different colors, like ivory, yellow and peach and shoved this mini arrangement into the bow and tied it with a bread twist tie!. Everyone said they looked nice and that can save $$$ for you.

I booked with Burton. They don't charge more for different types of flowers so you can get calla lilies or roses and it will be the same.
