I have met with two florists and I like them both, am kind of leaning towards one of them.
Anyways, I am going to meet with another, but these two florists kind of contradicted each other and I was wondering what you guys thought.
I want a big big big (40-50) rose bouquet, just roses, not cascading or anything, just a lot of them. The first one said, hand tying wouldnt be a good idea because there are too many stems and it would look funny (with all of the stems coming out of the bottom). The next one said that hand tying would be the best way to go because it would look better and the foam thing that they would keep the stems in would be huge. So, I have no idea which is correct.
Secondly, I think I will do a dozen roses as my centerpieces, I have searched high and low and just can't find anything that says to me, 'You must pay an exorbinant amount of money on these centerpieces'. The first florist said that they would be beautiful in a bubble vase (short and round), the other one said they would look funny with only 1 dz roses in them and you need a taller vase.
So which one do you think is right (on eithe topic), I appreciate your feedback!

Re: Flower Questions
I'm really not sure about the bouquet thing, but just 1 dozen roses is not a lot for a centerpiece. It will be a lot of filler in a tall centerpiece, and for a short bubble vase, it will be a really small bubble vase...

Re: Flower Questions
For you BK - - I think clutching 40-50 roses is going to be a hard task - - as for the centerpieces a dozen roses aren't that many - - I think in a bubble vase will look much fuller of a piece.

Re: Flower Questions
My sister in law did 2 doz. roses in bubble vases on each table and it looked lovely. don't know about the bouquet question. And, her centerpieces were not that expensive IMO. Well under $100 each.

Re: Flower Questions
I was at a wedding with the centerpieces with 2 dozen roses and it was beuatiful. I amy rethink your bouquet - it may be really big. I would think 3 dozen would be great. But its your wedding and you do what makes you happy.

did you speakk to Jack & Rose? He will help you!
I had 36 roses (3 dozen) in my bo-k and I thought it was perfect! Anything over 40 may be too heavy!

Re: Flower Questions
I would not use a bubble vase. I would definitely go with a tall vase.
